Planning a romantic weekend for you and your lover doesn't have to be expensive or difficult. You don't have to spend tons of money to go away. With a little bit of time and preparation, you can plan a romantic getaway right at home.
If you have kids, then you know that sometimes getting the kids out of the house and somewhere safe is the hardest part about a weekend getaway. But once that is done everything else is pretty easy.
Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
Quick Check List:
Someplace for the kids to go.
Flowers.
Drinks.
Food.
Outfits.
Chocolates.
Step 1
Start with a quick cleanup. Get the house clean and tidy, which will naturally help you relax and will limit any distractions. If you have kids and they are old enough, they can even help!
You can buy rose petals and spread them around the bed to set the mood, or leave a trail that leads to the bed or to a candlelit bathtub.
Burn massage oil candles, once the candle melts down and softens, dip your fingers in the warm oil and spread the aromatic lotion on your lovers skin.
Step 2
Get eat in types of foods. Pick up food that is easy to eat and easy to cook. Fruit, crackers, cheese, lunch meats, and good bread are all great ideas. These can be used for easy, healthy snacking as well as easy light meals.
Add some "sexy, romantic foods" such as chocolate covered strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or edible body paint. Which can be applied to the body with a paint brush or fingertip - either way the intense colors feel arousing on your skin. Natural aromas awaken the senses and give flight to your fantasies. The precious nuances in flavour intensify your partner`s passion for kissing.
Step 3
Get drinks you both like. It doesn't have to be a drink with alcohol, but it should be something special. Lemonade or limeade is one option (you can even make your own). Or pick up cocktail supplies, wine, champaign, or something else you both like.
Alcohol does help one lower their inhibitions, and if your planning this special romantic weekend with some freakiness in mind... a bottle of champagne will compliment the chocolate covered strawberries very nicely.
Step 4
Flowers and chocolates aren't necessary, but they can add to the romance of the evening. You can place them near by.
Step 5
Candles can be used to set a low light, romantic mood for a great evening.
Step 6
Set the rules. Romantic times can be ruined quickly by discussing high stress issues, so set the rules as to what can and what can't be talked about. Avoid in-laws, kids, and bills for sure.
No TV!! If you have some favorite shows - set the DVR or VCR to record them. If you and your lover are into adult movies buy or rent a few... they can really heat up the moment fast!! Maybe you can really be adventurous and make your own. Watch it later and relive the moments!
Step 7
Dress up. Whether you are going to wear a great dress you never get to wear or you are choosing sexy night clothes it is fun to dress up and fun to add it to the romantic time.
Step 8
Have fun with it. Try couples romance games that can really help you set the mood. Enjoy the time together connecting in a way that the kids often make difficult. Remember that you are still young yet and life is good, even if it doesn't always seem like it.
